Do you just paint portraits?
No. We can paint anything you want. In the past artist Chris Blackhurst has painted cars, buildings, album covers, even Fozzie Bear! The only limit is your imagination. If you have a source image to work from then that will help, but we can source images to base the painting on, too.
How do you prepare the mock-ups?
Using your photos as a source we will use pc software to create a digital interprestation of the painting. With guidance from you we will design several potential ideas and email (or mail) them to you for you to look at. You can tell us what you like or don't like about each and we will go away and modify the designs or try something completely different until you are happy.
How long does the process take?
The time it takes to come up with the final design can vary. We won't start painting until you are 100% happy. Once you have committed to the painting, the turnaround time usually takes from 2 - 4 weeks.
What if I need the painting quicker?
Let us know if you need the painting for a particular date. We will try our best to pull out the stops for you. If you really have left it too late, then our gift vouchers are a great alternative.
How do I pay?
We accept most major credit and debit cards via Paypal or payment via cheque. We do not take payments online.
When do I pay?
You don't have to pay for anything until you are happy with the final design and there is still no obligation to buy then. We just ask for a 50% desposit if you have decided to go ahead and you have chosen your design. We will then proceed to order the materials abd start painting. The final balance is then due on completion of the painting.
What if I'm not happy with the painting?
The last thing we want at On Canvas is for you not to be happy with your painting. Please let us know if there is anything you are not happy with and we will do our best to rectify it - free of charge. If you are still not happy then we will reimburse you in full.
